레이싱휠 (T300RS)+ 레이싱게임 사용기

중고로 트러스트마스터 T300RS와 거치대를 함께 구입했습니다.

이전에 사용하던 휠은 로지텍 드라이빙포스GT였구요.

 

GT와 비교하면 가격차이만큼이나 견고함에서 차이가 납니다. 구동방식도 달라서 T300이 훨씬 부드럽고 피드백의 종류도 다양하게 느껴집니다. 페달은 T300 기본 페달인데 처음에는 실제 자동차와 너무 압력이 달라서 이상했는데 계속 하다보니 몸이 적응하게 되네요.

 

그리고 휠을 사용하려면 거치대는 필수입니다. 휠은 대충 책상에 거치할 수 있다고 쳐도 페달은 거치대 아니면 고정이 너무 어렵습니다.

 

T300 정도면 일반적인 게이머 수준에서는 부족함이 없다고 생각합니다. 유일한 단점이라면 구버전 레이싱게임(대략 14년 이전 출시작)은 호환이 불안정하다 정도인듯 합니다.

그리고 사용하다보니 특이한 점이... GT때는 못느꼇는데 T300은 게임마다 체감이 매우 많이 다릅니다. 아마도 게임마다 설정값이 달라서 일텐데 너무 편차가 크다보니 정보공유차원에서 소감을 써보려고 합니다.

 

1. 그리드 오토스포츠, 더트랠리

 

- 같은 회사라서 그런지 휠에 대한 설정도 비슷한듯 합니다. 전반적으로 무난하지만 좀 더 다이나믹하게 휠을 활용할 수 있지 않았을까 아쉬운 마음이 있습니다.

 

2. 더 크루

 

- 포스피드백이 매우 약합니다. 지면에 따른 진동도 구분이 잘 안됩니다. 신경 안쓴티가 너무 납니다. 휠이 차체와 따로노는듯한 느낌이 들때가 있습니다.

 

3. F1 2015

 

- 코드마스터사 제작임에도 불구하고 그리드, 더트 시리즈에 비해 휠에 신경을 많이쓴 느낌을 받습니다. 특히 충돌시와 미끄러지는 구간에서의 피드백이 뛰어납니다. 휠과 차체의 일체감이 높습니다.

 

4. 유로트럭2

 

- 다른 레이싱게임들을 제치고 가장 많은 시간동안 하고 있는 게임입니다. 매우 단순해보이면 휠설정 메뉴에 비해, 실제 휠 체감은 매우 뛰어납니다. 특히 엔진부하(오르막길 덜덜덜)와 지면묘사가 아주 좋습니다.(자갈길, 과속방지턱 등)

 

5. 프로젝트카스

 

- 휠과 차체의 일체감이 매우 뛰어납니다. 포스피드백 완벽합니다. 진동이 너무 강해서 충돌시 손목에 무리가 올 정도.. 휠을 샀다면 반드시 필구해야할 게임입니다.

 

6. 포르자 호라이즌

 

- 더 크루와 별 차이가 없는 체감입니다. 가격에 비해 실망스럽습니다. 오히려 패드로 하는게 나을듯한..

 

7. 니드포스피드 모스트원티드

 

- 휠설정 메뉴에서 T300이 선택이 되는데도 호환은 잘 안됩니다. 최신 시리즈는 잘 되는지 모르겠습니다.

 

 

I bought a used Trustmaster T300RS with a cradle.

My previous wheels were Logitech Driving Force GT.


Compared to the GT, the difference is not only in price, but also in solidity. The drive is also different, with the T300 being much smoother and providing more feedback. The pedals are the standard T300 pedals, but at first it was strange because the pressure was so different from the real car, but as you continue to use it, your body adapts.


And if you're going to use the wheel, you need a cradle. The wheel can be mounted on a desk, but the pedals are too hard to hold without a mount.


I think the T300 is more than enough for the average gamer. The only downside is that older racing games (released about 14 years ago) seem to be unstable.

And here's what I noticed... I didn't feel it in GT, but the T300 has a very different experience depending on the game. Probably because the settings are different for each game, but since the variation is so large, I will try to write my impressions for information sharing.


1. Grid Autosport, The Trally


- Because it is the same company, the settings for the wheel seem to be similar. Overall, it is okay, but I have a regret that I could have utilized the wheel more dynamically.


2. The Crew


- The forespeedback is very weak. I can't even distinguish the vibrations from the ground. I don't care for it. Sometimes it feels like the wheels are playing separately from the body.


3. F1 2015


- Despite being made by Codemasters, I feel that a lot of attention has been paid to the wheels compared to the grid and dirt series. The feedback is excellent, especially during collisions and sliding sections. The integration between the wheel and the car body is high.


4. Euro Trucks 2


- This is the game that I spend the most time playing compared to other racing games. Compared to the wheel settings menu, which looks very simple, the actual wheel experience is very good. Especially the engine load (rattling uphill) and ground description are very good (gravel road, speed bumps, etc.).


5. Project Cars


- The integration of the wheel with the body is very good. Four-speedback is perfect. The vibration is so strong that it hurts my wrist when I crash. If you bought the wheels, this is a must-have game.


6. Forza Horizon


- The experience is not much different from The Crew. Disappointing for the price. I'd rather play with pads...


7. Need for Speed Most Wanted


- T300 is selected in the wheel settings menu, but the compatibility is not good. I don't know if the latest series are compatible.
